The Komoka Kings are pleased to announce the club’s 2025-2026 leadership group. The group will be captained by Riley Alexander, with assistant captains Jagan Chanderdat, Quinn Gavin-White, and Jacob Vandeven.

Alexander is in his third season in Komoka. The defenceman came into this season having played 89 games in his GOHL career, with six goals and nine assists for 15 points from the blueline. He is a local player, from Middlesex Centre (in Ilderton, ON) and is excited to be a King once again this year. His veteran presence from the blueline, never shying away from physicality and always standing up for his teammates will be very valuable with a young team this season. Riley was named an assistant captain midseason last year, and will now wear the C on his chest as captain in 2025.

The first assistant captain joining Riley is Jagan Chanderdat. Chanderdat is in his fourth season in the GOHL. He came into this year having played 159 games in the league. He is on pace to eclipse the franchise record for games played (dating back to seasons prior to the move to Komoka), previously held by Adam Arseneault, at 175. In his career, he has posted 19 goals and 33 assists for 52 points. He has often been lauded for his welcoming persona, helping new players ease into a new team and culture with the Kings. He was named an assistant captain midseason last year and will continue to wear the A this season.

The second assistant captain joining Riley and Jagan is Quinn Gavin-White. Gavin-White is entering his third season in the GOHL. Gavin-White has gained lots of valuable experience over the years, playing on teams both young and old. He began with the St. Thomas Stars in 2023-24, was dealt at the deadline to the St. Marys Lincolns (who won a remarkable 42 games last season), and was acquired by the Kings this offseason. Gavin-White does not shy away from standing up for his teammates and is going to be part of bringing along a young group of players this season.

The third assistant captain joining Riley, Jagan, and Quinn is Jacob Vandeven. Vandeven is in his second season in the GOHL. A local product, from Komoka, Vandeven was acquired just before the start of the season from the St. Thomas Stars. As a 16-year old last year, he posted 29 points in 46 games. The Owen Sound Attack prospect is a 6’5/200 pound forward who uses his size and strength to get to the net and create chances for his teammates.

The Kings look forward to seeing the leadership of these four players throughout the season, as the team pushes for a playoff berth.
