The Komoka Kings are pleased to announce the acquisition and signing of 2007-born goaltender Xavier Bussiere for the 2025-2026 season.
Bussiere, a native of Mercier, QC, stands 5’10, 145 pounds and spent last season split between the Ayr Centennials (GOJHL) and the Wellesley Applejacks (PJHL). Over 10 games in the GOJHL with Ayr, Bussiere went 7-1-0, posting a 2.95 GAA and a .911 save percentage. While in the PJHL, he went 11-1-2 over 15 GP with a 2.38 GAA and a .921 save percentage. Combined, it was a successful first season of junior hockey for the netminder, who played 25 games with a record of 18-2-2, a 2.59 GAA, and a save percentage of .917 on the year.
Prior to last season, Bussiere played U16 for the Cambridge Hawks AAA team and played U18 with the Elgin-Middlesex Canucks. He is an 11th round pick (216th overall) by the Saginaw Spirit in the 2023 OHL Draft.
