The Komoka Kings are pleased to announce the signing of 2009-born forward Jaden Switzer for the 2026-27 season.
Switzer was selected in the 11th round, 211th overall by the Flint Firebirds in the 2025 OHL Draft, on the heels of a very strong campaign with the Ottawa Valley Titans U16 team, where he played 27 games, racking up 19 goals and 17 assists for 36 points. On that team, Switzer was teammates with Kings’ goaltender Brian Rathwell.
Last season, Switzer joined Mount St. Charles Academy, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. There, he posted 5-20-25 in 39 games played. Switzer was born in Landsberg am Lech, Germany, while his dad, Derek, played abroad professionally. Derek played four years in the OHL and went on to a successful professional career in England and Germany. The younger Switzer has represented Germany internationally, playing in nine games and scoring four goals at the U16 level.
Thus far in the preseason, Switzer has posted two goals and one assist for three points in four games.
The Kings look forward to Jaden’s impact in the 2026-27 season.
