The Komoka Kings are pleased to announce the signing of 2008-born forward Lucas Van Steensel for the 2025-2026 season.
Lucas is a Middlesex Centre native, hailing from Ilderton, and spent last season with the Elgin-Middlesex Canucks U18 team where he posted seven goals and 21 assists for 28 points in 32 games. In the playoffs, he played 10 games, notching three goals and four assists for seven points. The 5’11 forward is a 2024 draft choice of the North Bay Battalion of the OHL, selected in the 8th round, 158th overall.
Van Steensel joins several of his former U18 Canucks teammates on the 25/26 Kings roster, in Tyson Ackerman, Nash Jacobs, Brock Lane, Josh Myatt, Parker Graham, and Morgan Paine.
