The Komoka Kings are pleased to announce the signing of 2008-born forward Tristan Witmer for the 2026-27 season.
Witmer is a native of Ottawa, ON, who played his minor hockey with the Ottawa 67s minor hockey program. He captained the U18 team in 2024-25, posting 25-10-35 in 27 GP, leading the HEO U18 loop in goals. That season, he played 5 games as an affiliate player with the Rockland Nationals of the CCHL, tallying one goal, and two regular season games with the Ottawa Jr. Canadians (EOJHL), tallying a goal there as well. Witmer was then called up to the Jr. Canadians full time in the playoffs, and was a stand out on their run to the EOJHL Championship, scoring six goals and five assists for eleven points in 16 playoff games as a 16 year old.
This past season, Witmer split his time between the CCHL with Carleton Place (where he posted 7-9-16 in 24 games) and the EOJHL with the Casselman Vikings (where he posted 10-15-25 in 18 GP). In the playoffs with Casselman, Witmer was the third leading playoff scorer and first among rookies, posting 10-11-21 in 14 GP helping lead the Vikings to an EOJHL title.
Witmer is continuing his academics this year at Western University.
The Kings look forward to kicking off the season in September, with training camp and the preseason set to begin in August.
